Neoshi Chhadva: The Culture Craver

Neoshi Chhadva: The Culture Craver

2017 was named the year of Feminism. Between the political moves for equal rights and the community support of women all around the world, every woman’s cry for human rights was heard. And, just because 2017 is over doesn’t mean we plan on stopping our march towards empowering our fellow women and men to have a voice. So, to kick off this new year, filled with even more equality, we wanted to raise our glasses to the wonderful women of our community. We believe whole heartedly that empowered women, empower women, which is what we plan to do. First up is a vibrant and strong woman in our Bay Area community, who has worked tirelessly to build a career and life that many can look up to. This remarkable woman is Neoshi Chhadva.

Neoshi has spent many years working in multiple different companies that have each been a stepping stone for her career path. Most notably she has worked at places like Sephora and Tiffany & Company. She comments how although these places are seen as glamourous and prestigious, that is not why she joined. She states, “It’s their dedication toward creating meaningful [relationships] that drew me to [be a part of those companies.]” She notes how she learned so much being part of these companies, despite it being a volatile environment at times. However, because of these challenges and learning experience she knows exactly what she wants to achieve in the future. For her, the future holds not only focusing on building an impactful career but also working on building a solid personal life centered around friends, family, and maybe most importantly travel.

Travel is something at the forefront of Neoshi’s mind. She’s an avid adventurist. She has a strong desire to constantly expand on her knowledge of people, places, culture, cuisine, and customs, which is why she has spent many years living all over the world in major cities. Her travels all started when she was younger. Her father was an “international traveler and former expat,” who inspired and encouraged her to experience living in foreign places. She has lived everywhere from Mumbai to Paris and SF to NY. She even spent time pursuing her Masters degree in Paris and London, which gave her perspectives on her passions and life goals, which she couldn’t have gotten anywhere else. For her, each and every city she lived in help contribute to her education on how the world functions and what makes diversity so unbelievably special.

As an individual who has spent so much time understand and familiarizing herself with different cultures, she has become an advocate for the feminist movement. She believes the movement has swiped women and men across the world, but also, wants to point out the importance of individualism within the feminism. She comments, “[Individuality is] what makes us unique, talented and capable and how this ultimately drives confidence and success.” Neoshi is a supporter of equal rights and the movement of celebrating culture and community. She wants to remind anyone looking to build a life filled with adventure and success to know that “integrity and hard work will take you a long way and ultimately earn you the respect you want” furthermore, she goes on to remind everyone to “strive hard to achieve your goals, but also focus on doing the “right” thing to get to the top!” Well, we couldn’t agree more.
