Ishaan Chahal: Paving the Road to a Better Future

Ishaan Chahal: Paving the Road to a Better Future

Civil Engineering. When you think of this career, what is the first thing that pops into your mind? We know it involves creation and vision, but for Ishaan Chahal, it's much more than that. It is a fascination with making the world more beautiful and more accessible. As a civil engineer, Ishaan designs roads, highways, and bridges, essentially building ways for people to connect.

Her fascination with this line of work started from such a young age. When she was little, she would see the architecture of different bridges and roads and her curiosity would get the best of her. She started wanting to learn everything she possibly could on how these roads and bridges were created, from start to finish. Every detail from the blue prints to the construction made her excited. But, for Ishaan, her passions extend further than just her career.

As an individual living in a time when fashion is more than just the clothes you wear, Ishaan finds herself enamored with curation and creation. As a civil engineer, the curation of bridges and highways is a necessity, but when it comes to her interest in fashion it is no different. Imagine the construction of a bridge in the same way you would construct an outfit. You look at things like the environment that both the bridge and outfit will be in, and build your way up from there. For Ishaan, that is exactly how it works, which is why she loves creating looks that speak to her directly, both practical and fashionable. Her looks are unique, focusing around her love for clean lines and neutral colors. It's about finding beauty in the architecture of the world and architecture of fashion.

Who knew that there could be so many similarities between two completely different industries? Finding connections between what you love, what you are good at, and what you know can sometimes be key.
